“Regular sessions with Anne Maree from Cumberland Equine are an integral part of rehabilitating and maintaining my dressage horse, Fallbrook Black Tie (Bruce)
I began using Anne Maree’s services in 2021 when I had newly purchased Bruce and wanted him to be feeling his very best on arrival to Victoria, following a very long, and taxing interstate trip.
I have always been so pleased with decision, and her visits are now a regular and standard part of our maintenance routine.
As a dressage team, we spend many weeks and weekends of the year doing competitions, travelling, clinics and training. Regular body therapy is vital to ensure that Bruce is not only performing his best, but also developing his body correctly, without any injuries or discomfort.
Anne Maree has such a calm and gentle demeanour, which the horses respond to incredibly positively, allowing them to trust her, relax and enjoy their session.
I am a big believer in investing in the very best care I can provide to ensure I have a sound and happy competition horse. Her knowledge, perceptiveness, and thoroughness, means that I can always rest assured that Bruce is receiving gold standard treatment.
The results speak for themselves, Anne Maree always keeps Bruce feeling supple and loose in his movement, and her work has had a big impact on the development both under saddle and through his body’s strength and shape.
Using her has had so many positive benefits, I really could go on for days about how helpful her services are to us as a team.
I am very grateful to have Anne Maree providing my boy with the very best treatment and look forward to using her as we continue our journey.
" How many times do you hear a horse being blamed for not doing what the rider thinks they are asking?
WAY TOO MANY TIMES is the answer.
Include in this the 'naughty' pony and the pony that will 'teach your kid to ride' because it pigroots when asked for canter or it leans on the bit. In my lifetime I have heard this over and over again

Anne-Maree, through her skills, has changed the shape of many ponies unwittingly damaged by gear the child has outgrown. Parents don't mean to do this but it happens far too often and for the sake of a bodywork session or two, the pony can completely change its shape and temperament.
Anne-Maree knows that every time she visits Hamilton, I will always have a couple from my 12 that will benefit from her skills. A few other ponies usually gather around to benefit from the aura.
I absolutely recommend a treatment from Anne-Maree if you wish to see a transformation and improvement in your horse or pony.

"We have had the pleasure in using the expertise of Anne Maree Cowell from when she was first training as an Equine Body Therapist.
We challenged her with our most difficult and quirky horse and she excelled. Over time she built a relationship even with those difficult and quirky horses so they trusted her and knew she was helping them to feel great and assist in working well. Anne Maree is excellent at identifying and treating injuries and stresses to older horses, and to keep them at the top of their game.
We use her not only for our racehorses but also competitive ponies. She is always open and honest about what she finds and can help work things out if persistent problems are occurring. We would happily recommend Anne Maree Services for ALL types of horses from fit racehorses, competition horses and ponies and pleasure horses."

"Anne-Maree has been a great asset in the rehabilitation and maintenance of our team of horses. She always gives lots of practical advice to manage each horses individual issues. Highly recommended."
"A very quiet spoken gentle and perceptive therapist, one can see she very much enjoys helping horse and owner to feel better and connect.
I have two horses, one Stockhorse cross mare given to me by an old friend who had an old injury in her shoulder and would hop at the trot. After visits with Anne - Marree she became very relaxed and smooth to ride, she was more responsive to my leg aids and voice and clearly enjoyed getting out for a ride.
My second horse is a nervy 7 year old Standardbred gelding. Being a standy he doesn't bend well or lunge well. When he's had visits with Anne-Marree we make leaps and bounds progress, he bends easier, is more relaxed, his tail flows out behind him relaxed on the lunge line and in general is eager to work.
I try to have regular visits for my horses with EBT as it makes such a difference to their outlook and my riding. I can see and feel a difference riding a horse with visits from Anne-Marree, her treatments are affordable and she is patient, easy to talk to and the horses are so relaxed by the end of a visit."
