Meet Anne-Maree

A bit about me

I am  mother and part time Accounts Officer who has always had a passion for horses and their welfare. I grew up and worked on farming properties in Victoria’s Western District and now, with my family, run a small agistment property near Warrnambool.

After beginning riding as a child, I followed my sister along the path of classical dressage and ultimately spent time in Portugal as a working pupil with the famous Master, the late Nuno Oliviera. I continue my journey in the art of classical training and value greatly the depth of knowledge and support of Thirza Hendricks

We are quite a horse orientated family – my daughters are  keen and successful riders who spent many years at Pony Club and represented their zone at State level in dressage and eventing. My husband has a history of playing polo, campdrafting and stock horses. I have been involved as an instructor and dressage judge with the Victorian Pony Club movement.

In 2003 I inherited a young mare with many physical issues. She led me on quite a journey to find professionals that had the patience, kindness and knowledge to help. I found I had to study as an owner hoof trimmer to learn to manage her feet – I now maintain all my horses successfully barefoot.

This quest also led me to meet Sue Parker- her results have been so remarkable that I was inspired to learn more about Equine Body Therapy and ultimately become an Equine Body Therapy Practitioner.

I successfully graduated as an Equine Body Therapy Practitioner (EBT) in 2016 after 2 ½ years of study and case work. I have since added Kinesiology Taping and CranioSacral Therapy to my skills and I am currently fascinated by and studying Equine Craniosacral Therapy with Emma Loftus RCST, BCST

I have worked with many horses and clients over the years and have continually grown and learnt.
